“The light lemon/green 2004 (5 stars out of 5), labelled 'Vendage Tardive' ( a term for late harvest in Alsace'), is youthful, immaculate and richly scented. Very weighty (14.5 percent alcohol), it offers deep, ripe flavours of lychees, citrus fruits, ginger and spice, with a gentle sweetness (20 grams/litre of residual sugar), good acid balance and a tight, refined structure. It should blossom with age.
